That the 2017 Ford Fusion Configurator is live. With all of the prices as well. Want to know what the Fusion Sport base price is? It’s $33,475. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Too bad no more manual transmission, and no Fusion ST, either.
Ford should kill off that stupid 2.5L and replace it with the 2.0 from the Focus. Nice to see a small V6 , but transverse V6's do suck.

Seriously. If you’re going to go transverse, you really need to go inline. If you are longitudinal, you have the choice of the two for packaging.

So depressing.
My SHO is now pointless.

So it be about 15% more in Canada. That be around $39000.

They already have the 2.0L as an option. Are you referring to the 1.6L?

SE with 2.0 EcoBoost and a few other things.....$28,100

Did they make the fusion ugly? Why? Why would they do this?
![]() 03/02/2016 at 14:34 |

Yeah that really doesn’t seem bad price wise.
I’ll take 1 in blue please.

No. They only have the 2.0 *turbo* (ecoboost) as an option.
I’m referring to the 2.0 *non* turbo from the Focus. Use THAT as the base engine for the Fusion instead of the 2.5 NA they have now.

Oh, I didn’t realize they had a 2.0 non-boost. I thought that was the role the 1.6EB took over.
Shows how closely I follow the Focus product lineup.

Well crap. You can’t get it without a light grey headliner.
![]() 03/02/2016 at 14:55 |

That’s because we really only care about the ST and RS on here ;)
But yeah, the 2.0 NA is still available on the Focus, along with a 1.0EB

Looks nice to me...

Ford is planning on making more fast versions of their cars, hopefully the Mondeo/ Fusion as well.

If Ford was still with Mazda, we’d have a MS6 and a Fusion ST!

Look at that grill and tell me it isn’t objectively and substantially worse than the original.
For fucks sake, the car looked great from the front and all it needed was a bit of love from the back. but instead they keep the lame backside and fuck up the sweet grill.

Aren’t they anymore?
![]() 03/02/2016 at 15:58 |

Nope, Mazda left a couple years ago.

Oh, you’re right! I do think that Ford is going to make a faster Fusion, but Mazda won’t make a MS6.... Shame.

I like that grill.
I wish to fornicate with it.
:-)

But why? It’s the same engine, both are just Mazda MZR motors with different displacements.

Only slightly less power, but better mpg, plus they’d only have to certify one engine instead of two.
